London has become a premiere destination for landmarks and sightseeing, museums and entertainment. And the gigantic city brings in millions of sightseers each year, but what almost all of them neglect, are the views of the city at night. Artists come from all over the world to paint the daytime street scenes, scenic parks and magnificent buildings, but it seems that they all pack up and go home once the sunsets. What a tragedy. London is one of the most beautiful cities in the entire world and night, and most people miss it. Of course they may see it while traveling around the city from one destination to another, but so few take the opportunity to witness the beauty and majesty of the grand city lit up at night.
Those that do discover what there is to offer by way of nighttime sightseeing, they will never look at the city the same way again. Millions upon millions of dollars have been spent floodlighting all of the largest monuments and statehouses, and these stand on their own right as artistic masterpieces. And unless you focus on them exclusively, you run the risk that will simply be streetlights to your brain.
The best way to do this is to find a book one of the city tours on any of the red double-decked busses that have become icons of London. Some are open-topped and some are closed, and if you have special needs, call the tour operators ahead of time to find out what they can accommodate. For instance some of the closed top buses can only accommodate one wheelchair at a time, while the open topped one can hold more. If you have a holiday apartment London will more readily open itself up to show you things you’d miss if you were in a hurry. By utilizing short term rentals London can show you what it truly has to offer at night at a significant savings.
